The purpose of this meeting is to continue a Closed Session discussion on personnel matters as provided by North Carolina General Statute § 143-318.11. Closed sessions. Section (6) To consider the qualifications, competence, performance, character, fitness, conditions of appointment, or conditions of initial employment of an individual public officer or employee or prospective public officer or employee; or to hear or investigate a complaint, charge, or grievance by or against an individual public officer or employee.
The Closed Session will be followed by an Open Session discussion on Beach Nourishment, discussion on the addition of citizen committees, and the Board will appoint two additional Town representatives to the Topsail Island Shoreline Protection Committee (TISPC). The Open Session is expected to begin around 7:00 P.M.
